Roman turned one!

I really am horrible at this blog thing. We moved to Va. Roman turned 1 year old. Tony got a new job. We drove to Va from Tx. Roman started to walk. Roman got his third tooth. Did I mention we moved from Texas? SOO I have some blogging to do about this. I will leave you with a few pictures from his 1st birthday party.

Playing with his new toy car. Seeing Tony the first time in over a month too!

Yes it does look like that candle would be fun to touch..

But its not.
Yes that happened. He was scared but had no injuries from touching the flame.
(I took the picture because I knew his hand was okay but it still makes me frown seeing it)

He recovered just fine

He was still very unsure about the cake. I think I ate more off my fingers then he did.
He would not touch it himself.
Not the first birthday cake experience we had hoped for, but it sure is memorable.

MORE posts to come!

First Family Trip on a plane!

We took our first trip just the three of us overnight in another country this past weekend. We went to Mallorca and island that is part of Spain. We stayed in the town called Palma. We left from Hahn airport here in Germany and took the over 2 hour flight with Roman. It was his first time in an airplane. He did pretty good. He also slept in his first and second crib and saw the ocean and a beach. He rode in his first taxi and bus too!

My Valentines Rose from Tony

Roman wanted to be in the carrier the wrong way.
This is the only way he was happy

He was napping while we went to the Arab Baths.
I had to cover his face to get him to shut his eyes.

Family Photo with the city behind us

This place was wonderful. We left another place before we found this restaurant.
They were soooo awesome. She brought be a pillow and even suggested
this table so Roman could be next to me. Our meals were great too.

He got to surf the rail of the moving walkway.
We had a great trip. The weather was not as cold as here in Germany. It was supposed to rain all weekend, but we only saw rain right before we left.

Thankful Mom

I love my husband Tony. One year ago next month my life changed forever when we got pregnant. I am thankful for that. I am thankful for being home with my baby. I am thankful that my husband supports (financially and emotionally) this choice that we both made. I am thankful I have a baby. I am thankful for his health too. I am thankful for my wonderful friends and family who love me. I am thankful for the examples that I had growing up from my mom and dad. I am thankful that I have everything I could possible need and more.
I am thankful for my life.
Ever changing and ever growing.
Now and Forever.

3 nights!

Roman has slept in his room 3 nights in a row now. Last night we even put him down after 9. Its been 10 to 11, but the night before I fed him at 8 and he was acting sleepy by 9 and he got pretty fussy since we tried to keep him up till 10 so I could feed him again. So Tony took him up stairs after 9:30 and it took about an 45 minutes for him to go to sleep. He never cried the horrible bloody murder cry, but he did fuss a little bit on and off. We just knew he was tired. So he didnt eat right before he went down and he slept till 4 45 that night and last night after going down at 9:15.. HE slept till 6 am.. When I went in and woke him up to feed him. I was so worried that he had gone so long without eating that I picked him up and fed him. He didnt fuss at all and he ate and then when I tried to put him back down, he didnt want to go. SO I fed him a little more to calm him down since he only ate for 10 minutes I thought he must still be hungry. Then he woke up at 7:45. That time he seems to like. Can you believe he slept from 9 to 6! Who knows how long he would have gone without me waking him! Since he turned 10 weeks old on Tuesday he had another photo shoot with me. Last night he played with Tony and he rolled over so many times. I thought he had forgot how since it had been so long. Its was just too funny since he did it so calmly, then he was all smiles. I kept putting him on his tummy and he would roll over faster then I could get the camera.
